Nigerian Activist and Publisher, Omoyele Sowore, has leaked alleged arrest memo by the Department of State Service as he claimed to have been placed under the agency’s watchlist.
Sowore made this disclosure in a post on his X handle yesterday with an attached copy of the classified document stating his arrest.
As contained in the document tagged ‘Watchlist Action’, Sowore is to be apprehended and detained on arrival to Nigeria as approved by the Director General of the DSS.
Commenting on the document, Sowore condemned the Federal Government over their inability to track terrorism suspects, bandits, kidnappers, and wanted Ex-Kogi governor, Yahaya Bello.
Sowore, however, remained unfazed over watchlist status as he assured Nigerians of his return.
“The current administration, led by Tinubu, has demonstrated an upgraded inability to effectively track and apprehend terrorism suspects, bandits, and kidnappers, while the @officialEFCC has yet to arrest former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello.
“Meanwhile, the lawless @OfficialDSSNG has upgraded my status and name on their “watchlist” for arrest upon arrival in Nigeria.
“It is imperative to recognize that our country Nigeria requires salvation and our people need liberation, which will necessitate considerable effort. I intend to return home shortly, I mean VERY SOON.” He wrote.
