Former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, has expressed his displeasure with Nigerian citizens over their inaction on the country’s economic hardship.
Amaechi had, in a recent interview shared on X on Wednesday, said he expected Nigerians to be angry over the economic situation of the country.
The former Rivers state governor expected Nigerians to boycott elections in protest against politicians as he lamented over the cost pf diesel.
“I’m angry with the citizens. I’ve said it several times.
“You can’t see a group of people stealing your money impoverishing you can’t buy fuel, you can’t buy anything.
“Look at what happened in Edo. Should any politician be campaigning in Edo? People should be angry.
“There should be protest against politicians. We will not vote. There will be no election in our state.
“That’s what people supposed to be saying because there is a lot hunger now.
“If people like us cannot afford diesel, you can imagine what’s happening to others.” Amaechi said.
Recall that NPO Reports the increase of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) to N1,030 per litre on Wednesday by Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd).
