Against withdrawal rumour, Labour Party’s Edo governorship candidate, Olumide Akpata, has casted his vote at Oredo Local Government Area of the state.
The LP candidate was spotted at his polling unit in Ward 06, Oredo, where he joined scores of other electorates to exercise their constitutional right.
Few hours ago, Akpata had reaffirmed his candidacy at the governorship contest.
The former NBA governor debunked rumours of his stepping down as he emphasized that he his very much in the gubernarorial race.
“I am in this race. I remain in this race because that is what Edo people need today. I resist any attempt by anyone trying to convince my teeming supporters that everything has changed. Nothing has changed! We are in the race.” Olumide said.
