Edo State Deputy Governor, Phillip Shaibu, has expressed satisfaction over the ongoing governorship election in the state.
Speaking to the Press at his polling unit in Etsako West LGA, Shaibu lauded the large turnout of voters.
However, he disclosed that there is ongoing issue on the Bimodal Voters Accreditation System (BVAS) machine which he claimed will soon be resolved.
“We can see how the turnout is very large.
“There are BVAS issues but they are fixing it.
“Most of us here have been accredited. I pray that by the time they bring the BVAS back, all of us will be able to vote.” He said.
According to reports, Shaibu had yet to cast his vote as the BVAS machine for voters accreditation and onward voting did not function.
Many voters at Unit 5, Ward 11 at Azama Primary School, in Azama, Estako West Local Government Area of the state, were waiting for the INEC officials to change or repair the machine in order to exercise their civic rights.
