Edo Election Tribunal has adjourned the proceeding of the 2024 Governorship election as the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) closed its case.
The tribunal adjourned the proceeding to the 10th of February for the opening of Edo State Governor’s, Monday Okphebholo, case following INEC’s closure of its case after failing to present any witness at the proceeding held in Abuja on Thursday.
When the matter was called, lead counsel to INEC Mr Kanu Agabi told the Justice Wilfred Kpochi-led three-member tribunal that after careful consideration, the commission has decided not to call any witness but to close its case.
