The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has nabbed 93 suspected internet fraudsters in Abeokuta, Ogun state’s capital.
This was disclosed in a statement issued on Sunday by the anti-graft agency’s spokesperson, Dele Oyewale.
According to the statement shared on the EFCC’s official X handle, the suspects were arrested in a sting operation in Abeokuta today.
Oyewale explained that the arrest was sequel to a credible intelligence about their suspected involvement in internet crimes.

Upon their arrest, 18 vehicles and mobile devices were recovered from them.
The EFCC vowed to charge the suspects to court as soon as investigations are concluded.
