The president of the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT), Samuel Eto’o, has been caught on camera physically assaulting a man outside Stadium 974 in Qatar after a World Cup match.
The 41-year-old Cameroon federation president and four-time African player of the year was seeing in a video breaking free from people seeking to restrain him and kneeing the face of the Algerian blogger identified as Said Mamouni
The man fell back after being struck. Eto’o was pulled away and has not commented or been seen since.
The African football legend was surrounded as soon as he left the 974 Stadium where the round of 16 match was played.
Wearing a blue baseball cap, he is seen allowing selfies with some fans before he was approached by the Algerian.
Narrating the story in a video posted on his YouTube channel, Algerian man,Said Mamouni said, his camera was destroyed in the process adding that he has already lodged a complain at the police station.

He said: “I’m at the police station to file a complaint against Eto’o. He hit me, and someone else with him pushed me and destroyed my camera.
“I asked him how is Bakary Gassama [referee that took charge of African World Cup playoff] and if he gave him a bribe. He then hit me and destroyed both my camera and mic.
“I will take my rights here in Qatar as it is a state of law, he did hit me in the chest and the face and in my elbow,” Mamouni said on his YouTube channel.
