The All Progressive Congress in Osun lost one of its leaders to the Peoples Democratic Party on Saturday.
The former Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftancy Matters, Barrister Kolapo Alimi, was announced as the Deputy Director General of the Campaigns for the Demola Adeleke governorship campaign organization.
The Erin-born lawyer has been very outspoken over the crisis in the party which has seen current Governor, Gboyega Oyetola pitched against his predecessor.
Alimi was one of the leaders of a caucus of the APC, The Osun Progressive which has been opposed to the style of governance of Oyetola.
Just two days ago, TOP said it was not moving out of the APC no matter what.
The group said anyone negotiating with other parties was doing so on his personal capacity.
Alimi, in a manner of confirming his defection to the PDP, went online to say “Imole De, Okunkun parade” which means Light Has Come; Darkness should late its leave.
Imole De is the campaign slogan of Adeleke.
