English footballer, Eberechi Eze, has sealed a return to his boyhood club, Arsenal, in a £67.5 million move from Crystal Palace.
In what had since been described as one of the greatest transfer coup of all time, Eze’s transfer deal was hijacked from Tottenham Hotspur by the Gunners.
The hijack saw the English footballer of Nigerian descent made a return to the Emirates stadium on Saturday where he warmly received by fans before the Premier League game against Leeds United.
His signing, according to reports, had sparked euphoria at the Emirates as fans chanted “he’s one of our own” as they received the player who was released by the club as a teenager.

Arsenal late decision to snatch Tottenham’s deal with Eze came after German international, Kai Havertz, sustained an injury which will keep him on the sideline for months.
