The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, has charged the Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, to face the problem rocking his administration and stop involving him.
This is coming under the heels of Bala’s allegation against the FCT Minister.
The Bauchi governor had in an interview on Channels TV Sunrise Daily programme last week accused Wike of orchestrating the alleged money laundering probe against his Commissioner for Finance, Yakubu Adamu, by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Bala had during the interview labelled Wike a terrorist, accusing him of being after his life and responsible for the current crisis within his administration.
The Bauchi governor recalled Wike’s threat to put fire in his state over his visit to Rivers Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, with other members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors Forum.
Reacting during his address to a crowd of supporters in Rivers State on Thursday, Wike urged Bala to face his problem.
He recalled how the Bauchi Governor had visited Rivers with alleged attempt to impose a PDP leader in the state.
Wike recounted warning him to stay out of Rivers affairs.
“What the governor of Bauchi is saying that I’m the cause of all the problem he is having because I said I will put fire. If you don’t have such power, why are you fighting?
“If I have the power to put fire, so why are you shouting? Go and face your problem, You came to my state, I said be careful. Leave my state alone.
“You wanted to impose party leader in my state. Today, he does not have a party.
“At least I warned them. If you know you don’t have the strength to fight, why not go and rest? EFCC is facing them, he said it is me. What is my business?” He said.
The FCT Minister claimed his fight with Bala is only over the Rivers PDP leadership and has nothing to do with his state.
He however that the allegations against him only indicated that he is a strong force to reckon with.
“Tell them to leave me alone. Go and face our problem. I’m only fighting with you as party leadership. I’m not interested in your state.
“You were Minister of FCT from 2010 to 2015, why not say what you did in FCT? The whole land you sold it. See the road, you awarded contract you could not finish.
“Now we are the ones completing the road. Nigerians are singing our names everyday that we have done well and we will continue to do well.
“Everybody that has problem s Wike. Everybody that has headache, Wike. Those who are in Sokoto, Taraba, Lagos, Bauchi, Wike. That means this Wike is strong.” He added.
