Family and friends of Arogundade Abiodun have been thrown into despair as anxiety grew over the abduction of the female engineer on her way from Abuja on Monday.
Abiodun’s abduction was disclosed by a friend Facebook user, Fashoyin Oluwole.
Expressing concern over the female engineer’s abduction by suspected kidnappers, Oluwole prayed for her safe release and return home.
“I am deeply concerned and saddened to learn that my dear sister and comrade, Arogundade Salmah Abiodun , has been kidnapped.
“My thoughts and prayers are with her and her loved ones during this difficult time.
“May God Almighty watch over her, keep her safe, and guide her captors to release her unharmed. I pray for her swift and safe return.” She wrote.
Another Facebook user, Kazeem Olalekan, in a separate post expressed shock over the news of Abiodun’s abduction as he recounted that female engineer had just in one of her last post expressed commiserated with the death of a certain Alhaja.
Olalekan, however, disclosed the kidnappers’ demand for N100 million for Abiodun’s release.
“It was just yesterday I read from your profile where you commiserated the death of a certain Alhaja.
“Reading the news of your kidnap struck me to the marrow. It is heartbreaking. This kidnap is one of too many cases in Nigeria.
“Unfortunately, the Nigeria Police Force, and, indeed, the Nigerian authority majors in the minor while leaving the real issue of insecurity unattended to.
“I pray that the good Lord touches the heart of those who kidnapped you to set you free regardless of the #100m ransom being asked for.
“Arogundade Salmah Abiodun , you have a very large heart. And, ever since our path crossed, you have never cease to show the large part of your heart.
“You’re comradic. I pray the good Lord bring relief to your family members and every of your loved ones by touching the hearts of your kidnappers to the effect that you be released unconditionally. My prayers are with you, Salmah.” Olalekan wrote.
