Human Rights lawyers, Dele Farotimi and Inibehe Effiong, have appeared at the Apapa Magistrate Court, Lagos state, ahead of the trial of Alabi Quadri, the boy who stood in front of Peter Obi’s convoy during the 2023 Labour Party’s Presidential candidate’s Lagos campaign.
NPO Reported that Quadri was allegedly framed up by some suspected area boys for not sharing with them the proceeds of his encounter with Obi during the campaign.
The area boys had allegedly taken him to the police station where he was accused of being among those stealing and fighting in the area.
He was subsequently arraigned to court which remanded him in Kirikiri correctional facility.
With the court resuming his trial today, Inibehe disclosed his arrival at the court premises with Dele Farotimi in a post on his X handle.
“According to the post, Quadri’s case will be heard at the Court 9 at the Sikiru Adagun Courthouse.
“At the Apapa Magistrate Court, Orege, Ajegunle – Sikiru Adagun Courthouse (Court No. 9) with

“We are waiting for commencement of the proceedings.” Inibehe wrote.
