Former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has accused Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, of alleged plot to remove Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja as the Olubadan of Ibadanland.
Fayose made the allegation in a statement issued on his official X handle on Sunday.
The ex-Ekiti governor alleged that the plot emerged from Oba Ladoja’s absence at the coronation of High Chiefs at the Oyo state’s capital two weeks ago.
According to Fayose, a Government Query is set to be issued against the former Oyo governor this week which signals the commence of the plot to dethrone the monarch.
“I heard reliably that Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State is plotting the removal of the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rahidi Adewolu Ladoja.
“The plot is to commence this week, with Government Query to be issued against the Olubadan, citing his absence at the failed coronation of High Chiefs in Ibadanland two weeks ago, and other allegations.
“As for us, we will be watching the Sìgìdì of Seyi Makinde tó fẹ́ se eré ẹ̀tẹ́.” He wrote.
Recall that Makinde had last year September presented staff of office following his coronation as the new Olubadan of Ibadanland.
However, speculations of rifts between the Olubadan and Oyo state government had emerged with the absence of the monarch at the High Chiefs’ coronation further fueling the speculations.
