The African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate for the AMAC Area Council, Moses Paul, has warned the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, against any attempt to influence the conduct of the FCT Council election.
Paul gave the warning while addressing his supporters in a video shared on X on Friday ahead of the Saturday election.
He maintained that the former Rivers State governor cannot influence the decision of Abuja people like his hometown in Obio-Akpor.
This coming amid attempt to hide votes during the Saturday poll.
Paul however affirmed that the peoples’ vote will count, stressing that the city belongs to the people and not Wike.
“Of course, our vote does count. The Minister, this is not Obio-Akpor. You can’t hide votes in AMAC. He cannot. Somebody should tell the Minister that Dr. MO says that will of the people will count.
“On Saturday, there is going to be a new AMAC where boldness, objectivity, decisiveness, and fearlessness will take centre stage.
“Enough of people dying. Enough of poverty and brigandage. We own this city. Wike does not own the city. It belongs to the people, the suffering masses.” The ADC candidate said.
