The All Progressives Congress (APC) has affirmed its control of Aso Rock and its environ as it emerged winner at two polling units located around the Presidential Villa in the ongoing 2026 Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Council Election.
With the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) already sorting and counting votes across the capital city, the APC swept the poll at polling units located in Kofo Abayomi street and Police Affairs Commission near the Presidential Villa.
As seen in the result sheets recorded from both polling units and shared on X, APC secured 24 out of the 29 valid votes recorded at the Kofo Abayomi polling unit.
In the same vein, the ruling party recorded a total of 32 out of 45 valid votes cast at the Police Affairs Commission polling unit.
On the other hand, the APC closest rival, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) recorded five votes at Kofo Abayomi while securing 11 votes at the Police Affairs Commission.
However, the vote counting is still largely ongoing across the capital city with overall winner yet to be confirmed.
