Leaders of the organised Labour are currently meeting the Federal Government over ways to seek an end to the ongoing nationwide strike.
At the meeting are the Minister of Labour and Employment Generation, Simon Lalong, Minister of State Hon. Nkeiruka Onyeajeocha and the National Security Adviser (NSA) Nuhu Ribadu.
Representing the labour side are the TUC President, Festus Osifo, NLC Secretary General Emmanuel Ugboaja and other Labour leaders.
The NLC and the Trade Union Congress, TUC, had declared a nationwide strike, demanding the arrest of the suspected thugs and their sponsors.
This comes days after the NLC president was attacked in Owerri, Imo State capital on November 1 when workers in the state staged a protest over unpaid salary.
Earlier today the NSA had announced that hoodlums who attacked Ajaero had been arrested.
The arrest of the attackers allegedly led by the Special Adviser to Governor Hope Uzodima Chinasa Nwaneri was one of the conditions set by the Labour to avert a national crisis.
