Lagos-based Lawyer, Bolanle Raheem, who was allegedly shot dead on Christmas Day in Lagos, has been buried in the Ikoyi area of Lagos on Tuesday.
A service of songs was first held on Monday before her burial Tuesday.
Mrs. Raheem was interred after a funeral service at the Olive Tree Parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Banana Island, Lagos.
Apart from family members and lawyers, the funeral service was also attended by several dignitaries including the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Eti-Osa Federal Constituency, Ibrahim Babajide Obanikoro.
In a tweet after the service, Mr. Obanikoro said: “I attended the late Bolanle Raheem’s funeral service. May God comfort her family and friends.
“May the days of the rest of us be healthy and long.”
Meanwhile, the trial of the Assistant Superintendent of Police, Drambi Vandi, accused of killing her had commenced at the Lagos State High Court, Tafawa Balewa Square annex, on Monday.
He pleaded not guilty to the one count of murder, that he’s facing.

Lagos Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Moyosore Onigbanjo, SAN led the prosecution as Vandi was arraigned before Justice Ibironke Harrison of the Lagos State High Court sitting at Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS).
An NBA delegation including NBA President Mr. Yakubu Maikyau, SAN, and Uwanna were present in court to observe proceedings.
The case resumes on January 25 and 26 for the continuation of cross-examination of Vandi.
Recall that Raheem was allegedly shot dead by Vandi in the Ajah area of Lagos on December 25th,2022, Christmas Day.
She was said to be returning home from an outing with her family when she was shot.
Vandi was arrested and appeared before Chief Magistrate C.A. Adedayo on December 30, 2022, a day after the Police Service Commission approved his suspension.
