Flight Delay Causes Violence At Abuja Airport as Angry Passengers Vandalise Airline’s Counter Items
Delay of a flight from morning till late in the evening of Wednesday has led to violence at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
It was not certain which airline was responsible for the delay but it was learnt through a video that was posted on social media that the flight had been delayed from about 9am till about 6:30pm when affected passengers went wild.
Some of the passengers could be heard saying they had been at the airport since 9am while the airline kept shifting the time of the flight without anyone explaining the reason.
At a point in the course of the protests, one of the passengers was seen moving to the counter and destroyed some of the items.
The action of the angry passenger attracted attention.
The passenger who wore a T-Short with the inscription at the back “Ubaka.”
The man also made attempt to deal a slap on the face of one of the airline’s officials who tried to prevent him from further protests.
“I’ve been here since 9:30 a.m and this is 6:30 pm. Nobody is telling us anything,” the passenger said

Flight delays have become rampant in recent times as many of the airlines are said to be facing very difficult operational issues.
