Embattled former deputy senate president Ike Ekweremadu is to forfeit about 40 choice properties.
This is coming after his continued detention in a United Kingdom over the organ harvesting allegations leveled against him and his wife.
The court session was presided over Justice Inyang Ekwo, who signed the order on Friday, 4th November, 2022 after a motion for the interim forfeiture was filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). The Judge ordered the EFCC to publish the forfeiture order of the properties in a national daily within seven days from the day the order was signed.
Ten of properties, according to information available, are located in Enugu State, 3 are in the U.S, 2 are in the U.K, 1 in Lagos State, 9 in Dubai, and 15 properties are in Abuja.
