The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has disowned a viral recruitment notice circulating on social media, which directs applicants who were not shortlisted or did not receive invitation messages to report to the nearest FRSC camp for verification on or before September 25, 2026.
The Corps in an X post described the circulating notice as fake and unauthorised, urging members of the public to disregard it.
FRSC said it did not issue any directive asking unshortlisted applicants or those who did not receive invitation messages to report to its offices, camps or training institutions for verification.
The Corps therefore advised applicants not to visit any FRSC office, camp or training institution based on the information contained in the viral publication.
It urged applicants and members of the public to rely only on official FRSC communication channels for verified information concerning the 2026 recruitment exercise.
“The Corps reiterates that no such directive has been issued by FRSC, and applicants should not report to any FRSC office, camp or training institution on the strength of the circulating message.
“The public is advised to rely only on official FRSC communication channels for information concerning the 2026 recruitment exercise.”
The Corps also warned applicants against recruitment fraud, advising them not to make payments, disclose personal information or click on links circulated by unauthorised persons claiming to facilitate their recruitment.
FRSC said anyone found using the recruitment exercise to deceive or defraud members of the public would be reported to the appropriate law-enforcement authorities.
The Corps urged the public to remain vigilant and disregard the fraudulent publication to avoid falling victim to recruitment scams.
