Aare Onakakanfo of Yorubaland, Iba Gani Adams, has called on the security operatives to ensure the arrest of arsonists responsible for the fire outbreak at one of the houses of Yoruba rights activists, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly called Sunday Igboho.
The Odua Peoples Congress (OPC) leader made the call in a press statement on Tuesday titled, ‘Adams commends S/West Governors on New security arrangements with herders ….urges FG to find those that razed Igboho’s house’.
The Yoruba generalissimo said failure to investigate the fire outbreak at Igboho’s house could heat up the polity. While condemning those behind the fire incident at Igboho’s house in Ibadan, Adams said “the fire outbreak is an attempt to frustrate the young man”.
Adam said it was unfortunate that some powerful individuals in the South -West are not happy with what is happening in the region. He then added that the ugly incident reflects the spate of insecurity in Nigeria.
“The ugly incident speaks volumes of the spate of insecurity across the country. The government is in the best position to investigate the circumstances surrounding the ugly incident so that they will not overheat the polity”, Aare Adams said.
