Does Outgoing House of Representatives Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila move closer to being President Bola Tinubu’s Chief of Staff against all backgrounds of all other possibilities?
• As President Holds First Security Meeting
President Bola Tinubu may have appointed the outgoing Speaker of the House of Representatives Femi Gbajabiamila as his Chief of Staff.
Though no official statement to that effect has been made, it was gathered that Gbajabiamila was introduced today at the Presidential Villa as the Chief of Staff to the President at a meeting of Security Chiefs.
Recall that there have been speculations over who to be appointed into the position between Gbajabiamila, Hon. James Faleke and former Minister of Works, Babatunde Fashola. Also being speculated is the former Governor of Osun, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola.
Those in attendance at the President’s first engagement with heads of the nation’s security and intelligence agencies include the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Farouk Yahaya; Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Awwal Gambo; the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Isiaka Amao; and the Inspector-General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba.
Others are the Director-General of the Department of State Service(DSS), Yusuf Bichi; and the Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Ahmed Rufai Abubakar.
