It was anguish on Thursday in Ile-Ife, Osun state as the remains of the kidnapped former Director of Administration Dr. Raif Adekunle Adeniji at the National Headquarters of the All Progressive Congress was buried.
NPO Reports that Adeniji, popularly called Kongo, was kidnapped few months after his appointment as the head of administration of the ruling party in Abuja.

Though the news of his death was broken last weekend, it was gathered reliably that Adeniji had indeed died in the kidnappers den since January this year.
A source had informed the NPO Reports that Adeniji, indeed died of complications arising from lack of drugs for his ailment.
He is said to be diabetic patient with a daily drugs he was unable to use after he was kidnapped at Kubwa area of Abuja where he was residing after relocating to Abuja because of his appointment.
Adeniji, a former Chairman of Ife Central Local Government Area of the state holds a PhD in Public Administration and was a university lecturer before he ventured into politics.
After his remains was exhumed, he was brought to his hometown for a proper burial according to the Islamic rites.
Many party faithfuls who gathered at the burial on Thursday expressed grief as many broke down in tears as they recalled the person of the late Adeniji.
At the burial was the National Secretary of the APC, Ajibola Basiru, Chairman of the party in Osun, Tajudeen Lawal and other party members.
