Group Drags AfDB President Akinwumi Adesina into Presidential Race; Buys Him N100m Form

A group of Nigerians have purchased the N100m presidential nomination forms for the President of the African Development Bank Dr. Akinwumi Adesina.
The groups include coalition of groups including Youth Arise Movement, Nigerians in Diaspora One Nigeria Group, Prudent Youth Association of Nigeria, women groups, farmers, people with disabilities and other civil society groups picked the forms on his behalf on Saturday.
They said they went after the gesture convinced that Nigeria needs the caliber of Adesina to navigate the current Nigerian crisis.
Adesina is yet to respond to the development.
