Celebrity chef, Hilda Bassey (Baci) has asked young Africans to cultivate the habit of reading saying in that lies lots of insights and inspirations for growth.
Baci, who two weeks ago took the cooking world by surprise staying on for 100 hours to beat existing record holder in longest hour anyone had been on cooking in the world. Baci, who was the cynosure of all eyes at the event, emphasised the importance of sustainability, discipline and reading in business, as she advised young Africans to be focused and empower themselves through the Art of reading.
She said, “As a young entrepreneur, even if you do not have money to take a business course, you can read. If you want to survive in the business world, it is important to arm yourself with information and learn, as this will keep you going especially in a world that is constantly changing.” Still celebrating the fame of her feat, Baci on Thursday, wrote on her twitter page, ” Yesterday at UBA Group
with other amazing female industry leaders where we spoke on innovating the continent for growth and how it’s important for you to reinvent yourself in whatever field you find yourself in.
“It was an honor to have spoken at this prestigious event.”
Since her record breaking effort, she has been at the centre of attention while Nigerians await the final pronouncement of the Guinness World Records to officially announce her as the latest record holder.
