Nigerian music legend, Inetimi Odon, popularly known as Timaya, has cried out for government’s intervention over the destruction of farmlands by suspected herdsmen in Bayelsa State.
The Dem Mama crooner, who hails from Odi in Bayelsa, took to his X page on Tuesday to express his displeasure over the herdsmen invasion of farmlands across the state.
He urged the government to do something over the development.
“Pls the government should do something. They are destroying farms in BAYELSA, Aboki take your in cow inside and feed them.. This is so sad….” Timaya wrote.
Activities of herders have been known to constitute major threats to food production in many parts of Nigeria with clashes happening leading to deaths and other security concerns.
