A group of suspected hoodlums has on Saturday attacked members of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) during their meeting in Kaduna state.
The hoodlums had stormed the venue of the meeting which the former governor of the state, Nasir El-Rufai, was billed to attend.
As captured in a now viral video shared on X, the hoodlums, armed with dangerous weapons, shattered glasses as they forcefully gained entrance into the hall.
Gunshots could be heard as the hoodlums shot in the air while the police officers present watched on.
Several members of the ADC were attacked and injured in the process.
Meanwhile, the hoodlums were alleged to be backed by police officers who failed to restrain them despite their presence at the venue.
The incident had since sparked public outrage with some netizens condemning the attack.
