Nigerian lawmaker, Senator Natasha, has revealed receiving threatening phone calls from Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, and Majority Leader, Sen. Opeyemi Bamidele.
The Kogi lawmaker made the revelation while speaking on Arise TV’s Morning Show on Friday.
This is coming barely a week after drama ensued at the Red Chamber as Sen. Natasha accused the Senate leadership of intimidation while protesting over seat arraignment.
The event had led to her suspension by the Senate.
In reaction, the embattled lawmaker had slammed a N100.3 billion lawsuit against Akpabio.
Speaking on Arise TV today, Sen. Natasha attributed the ongoing clash between her and Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, to alleged sexual advances made to her by the Senate leader.
She recounted how the Senate President had over time sidelined her motions to her motions on account of her refusal to accept his sexual advances which she alleged began in 2023.
“Many people do not know what I’m about to say but I’m going to speak my own truth and the Senate President is allowed to counter that.
“It all started on the 8th of December 2023 which was a day before his birthday and my birthday. We are birthday mates. We were all in Akwa-Ibom because he had a big funfair in the stadium- myself, my husband, and few of his friends.
“At first we were at his house at Ikot Ekpene. Then we all moved to his house in Uyo.
“Then he held my hands and said he want to show me around his house. My husband was walking behind us. I noticed that he hastened his pace while still holding my hand. And my husband was behind. He was on his phone but was catching up wherever he could.
“And then he got to this particular sitting room and he said ‘do you like my house?’ I said of course Sir. Everywhere is beautiful, nice quality taste. He said ‘Now that you are a Senator, I’m going to create time for us to come spend quality moment here. You will enjoy it.’
“At that point, I just pulled away and said I don’t understand what that meant.
“When I turned around, I saw my husband was already near me. The way he looked at me and him, I was beginning to wonder if he heard part of that statement.
“And then the Senate President too, I saw that he also had that thought. Then he said ‘Oh! By the way, let me show you my chapel.” She narrated.
