Former Governor of Abia State and serving Senator, Orji Uzor Kalu, has confirmed that telecommunication equipment in the Aso Rock Villa on Saturday made it impossible for him to hold a twitter space with Nigerian youths.
The senator had scheduled the twitter space with the topic, “The Japa Rave Among Nigerian Youths: Orji Kalu’s Thoughts” which was slated for 10am on Saturday.
However, after battling with connections for more than 40 minutes, the senator called the twitter space event off citing jamming equipment of the Presidential Villa as reason for the poor connections.
“I think we have to put off the event to another time. Connection is very poor where I leave here. I think the communication equipment of where I leave is making it impossible for us to have connection. I leave in the vicinity of Aso Villa,” Kalu told his listeners before ending the event, which he was to host.
As at the time of ending the event, no fewer than 144 participants had tuned into with the possibility that many would still have joined to listen to the senator and contribute to the debate.
