Barely three days to the start of the new year, Nigerians have their first doze of celebrity clash as popular Nigerian afrobeat singer, Damini Ogulu (Burna Boy), engaged in tug of words with renowned businessman and socialite, Pascal Okechukwu, Cubana High Priest.
The duo kept netizens at the edge of their seat on Friday after Burn Boy threw the first jab at Cubana with a post on his Instagram handle.
Burna Boy had, in an Instagram story, trolled Cubana whom he labelled Owerri Rick Ross.
“No forget say u be Azaman o And dem don gbe your plug wey him name na ‘Omo Igbo’ for ATL and na u be next #OwerriRickyrozay.” the singer wrote.
In swift reaction, Cubana Chief Priest took to his Instagram handle where he harped on Burna Boy’s alleged connection with embattled US Rapper, P Diddy.
He also hinted that the singer owes a London jeweler.
“Diddy oil the fastest way to PTSD. you never see anything, you and your bend down collect Grammy,
“The Ferrari’s. The London jewelers debt. I’m coming. I have long waited for this moment. Osubrileeee oooo.” he wrote.
Burna Boy also fired back as he denied owing the London jewelry store.
“You don score yourself. Everybody in Lagos knows my style, all my shit paid for, sometimes in cash sef. If not, I for dey all the blogs by now for owing debt like your boss. Go to Coscharis and service any of your stolen cars I wan see something.” Burna Boy replied.
Cubana would not only reply to Burna Boy but also travelled back in time as he shared video of how he paid Burna Boy as a backup singer during his birthday in 2018.
He also shared other posts of him and the singer prior to his rise to stardom.
Reacting in similar version, Burna Boy reposted an old video of Cubana’s younger brother who works as a phone repairer at Alaba International market in Lagos.
