How My Wife, Other TVC Staff Were Rescued From Invaders- Mark Odigie

Husband of one of the anchors of popular television show Your View, Tope Mark-Odigie, Mark has narrated how his wife and other presenters of the programme were rescued on Wednesday.

He said the family is safe now adding that his car was one of those that were set ablaze after arsonists arrived the premises of the Television Continental in Ikosi, Ketu.


"We were trapped inside TVC this morning. My wife was inside the building when the hoodlums broke into the premises and started burning cars and buildings. 

"I ran out of my car to safety first but couldn't bear the fact that my wife was still in the building." He said late Wednesday 

He gave details of how he begged he protesters who held his wife and others hostage saying the policemen refused to help.

He said, "I begged the policemen outside to assist me to get my wife out and they refused. 

"I and four other TVC staff decided to brave it and so we went back inside the premise and appeal to the hoodlums. 

"They were going to hurt us when one of them calmed them down and listened to me. 

"I told them that my wife and Morayo were still in the building. 

"They then said that they have rescued them already and took us through the back gate to meet with them. 

"My car was among the cars that was burned down. 

"Thank God we are back home."
