The brother of the detained leader of the proscribed Indigenous Peoples of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, Kanunta Kanu, has offered ways to end the worsening insecurity in the South-East geo-political zone of the country.
NPO Reported earlier that Kanu’s brother had called on the Finland-based Simon Ekpa, the self-styled leader of the armed wing of IPOB to respect Kanu in his request for an end to the sit-at-home orders imposed on the zone.
Posting on his X page, (the social media formally known as Twitter) on Sunday, Kanunta said the only way to stop the insecurity in the south-east is for all to stop supporting it.
“Everyone is worried about stopping insecurity in Biafraland. Well, there’s really an easy way. Stop participating in it,” he wrote
He said once the sit at home is ended in the area, it would be easy to recognise those who have been benefitting from the imposition.
He added, “Now sit-at-home is cancelled by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. Now, it is the time to identify real beneficiaries of these crimes in the South-East. Call for sit-at-home in your name.”
Kanunta had told the world on Friday that a letter written by his brother from detention where he called on Ekpa to stop the sit at home orders was authentic.
