Popular Nigerian music veteran and actor, Charles Oputa fondly known as “Charly Boy” has explained how the name “Odudubariba” came to be his name in the movie, “King of Boys.”
Charly Boy, also called “Area Fada” made a guest appearance on in a daily chat show called Your View on TVC on Friday morning.
Charly Boy said “Odudubariba” in his native language means a butterfly and it symbolizes a symbol of his spirituality as he believes life is fickle and fragile which are the attributes of a butterfly.
“A butterfly is a symbol of my spirituality, because life is fickle and fragile.” he said.
“King of Boys” is a political crime thriller which was directed by Kemi Adetiba and was released in 2021.
He expressed his excitement about being able to work with many other seasoned Nollywood actors and actresses like Sola Sobowale, Richard Mofe Damijo (RMD), Nse Ikpe-Etim and many others.
“I had fun and to be with Sola, RMD and with the other people was very exciting,” he added.
