A serving National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member has cried for help after suspected armed herders alleged killed his father and four relatives in a raid on his village in Taraba State.
The Corp member who currently serve in Enugu state and simply identified himself as Peter made this known in a post shared on X on Friday.
Peter disclosed how the herders had on the 27th of November attacked his village located in Takum Local Government Area of Taraba with his father and relatives murdered in the process.
He said one of the assailants called him following the attack to inform him that he personally killed his father.
“On the 27th of November this year, herders launched a terrible attack in my villiage in New Gboko village, Takum local government area of Taraba State.
“In the attack, they killed my father and four of my family members. After the attack, one of the herders took my father’s phone and called me.
“When I asked where the owner of the phone is, he told me that he killed my father directly. I was broken. I ended the call What is mostly paining me now is how I will get my father’s corpse to be buried because right now as I speak, those herders are there in my village.” He said.
The corp member called for support and Federal Government intervention as disclosed that he has nowhere to go as he service year nears an end.
“I’m almost done with my service. After my service year, I am hopeless. I don’t know where to go. I don’t know where to start from.
“I am calling on the Federal Government and those concerned to come to my aid and help me. I don’t have anywhere to go. I don’t have anything to do. I have lost hope.” Peter said.
