The world richest man, Elon Musk, has expressed regret for his criticism of the United States President Donald Trump,. stressing that he went too far.
NPO Reported that Tesla CEO had last week hit out at Trump’s “big, beautiful” tax and spending bill, describing the bill in an X post as a “disgusting abomination” which “can’t stand” the legislation.
This is coming barely a week for stepping down from his role at the US President-backed Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
In a series of posts on X last week Tuesday, Musk said that the “outrageous, pork-filled” spending bill will “massively increase the already gigantic budget deficit to $2.5 trillion (!!!) and burden America [sic] citizens with crushingly unsustainable debt.”
This had since generated to exchange of words between Musk and Trump who expressed his disappointment in his former ally.
Musk would however take a U-turn in a post on his official X handle on Tuesday as he expressed regret for his posts against Trump.
“I regret some of my posts about President @realDonaldTrump last week. They went too far.” He wrote.
