President-elect of Kenya, Williams Ruto, has promised to work for Kenyans.
In his message shortly after being declared winner of the August 6 poll, the vice president of Kenya said his government would be for the people who put it in place.

“I will work for all Kenyans. We will go out of our way to deliver on our pledges. We will serve all equally. This will be your government; the government of the people of Kenya,” Ruto stated.
Ruto had defeated former Prime Minister of Kenya, Raila Odinga polling more than seven million votes as against over six million votes by Odinga.
