Says Anti-Graft Agency Should Probe It’s Officials on N15m Bribery First
- Safiu Kehinde
Nigerian activist and social media influencer, Martins Vincent Otse (popularly known as VeryDarkMan) has claimed he will not honour the invitation of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in relation to the viral post he made on the money laundering bribery saga between the anti-graft agency and Bobrisky.
Reacting to the statement containing his invite by EFCC boss, Ola Olukoyede, VeryDarkMan charged the commission to probe its officials allegedly involved in the saga.
He stated this in a video shared on X as he claimed he did not trust the anti-graft agency.
He taunted them of neither having N15 million to bail himself nor godfather to call on in case he gets arrested.
“The reason why I won’t come to Lagos is this. I don’t have N15 million to pay for anything and I don’t have any godfather anywhere before una put me to for prison.
“Right now, I don’t trust you people. You guys can decide to set me up. I am not coming. I don’t trust you people. I will not come.” He said.
Meanwhile, VeryDarkMan claimed the EFCC failed to follow-up on Bobrisky in prison.
“In everything this Press Release is saying, it did not say the one that is within their own range. Why didn’t they say something like the EFCC is 100 percent certain that Bobrisky was in prison because they have the power to know that.
“Bobrisky is their duty to be sure. They are supposed to be going there to check.
“If the person that wrote this statement could not confirm that Bobrisky is in prison, then it is a problem.” He said.
However, he said before the EFCC could invite him, they had to investigate their officials allegedly involved in the case.
“Before you invite somebody like me to come, you have to invite and do a deep Investigation on your own officers first.
“When you don’t get the result you deserve from your officers- I mean those officers that handled Bobrisky’s file. You need to bring all of them together, the ones that investigated him, his IPO, everybody.
“Make sure you bring them together, investigate them thoroughly, check their accounts. When you are done with them, then you can invite me.
“Now you are telling me to come to Lagos and the headquarters of the EFCC is in Abuja. It makes no sense.” VeryDarkMan said.
