Supervisors at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) Jalingo District, Taraba State, have nabbed two proxies writing the institutes examination on behalf of one of the state’s commissioners and an Access Bank Manager.
The proxies, who identified themselves as Liveth Felix and Abraham Moses, were caught in the examination hall by the invigilators while writing one of the papers.
As captured in a video shared on Instagram by Sahara Reports, Liveth, an official at the state’s Ministry of Finance, confessed being hired by one Joshua who work at the Nigeria British School in Jalingo, the state’s capital.
She disclosed that she was hired to write the exams on behalf of Taraba State Commissioner for Finance, Sarah Adi.
Similarly, Moses also confessed to have being hired to carry out the examination fraud by Joshua whose full he could also not confirm.
He disclosed that he contracted to write the examination on behalf of one Mr. Martins Emmanuel, who according to Sahara Reporters was identified to be the Manager of an Access Bank branch in Taraba State.
Moses admitted have impersonated Martins in writing the examination which he acknowledged to be a criminal offense.
In the interrogation with the supervisors, the proxy said he had already sat for four exam papers on behalf of others before being caught.
