Nigerian businessman and socialite, Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, has warned the House of Representatives Deputy Speaker, Benjamin Kalu, against threatening him after the lawmaker deleted a message sent to him.
The Abia lawmaker representing Bende Federal Constituency had allegedly sent a message to Cubana Chief Priest earlier today hours after the socialite called him out over his inaction on the case of the convicted leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu.
The socialite had in a post on his Instagram handle labelled Kalu a weak Southeast leader.
In what appeared to be a reaction, the Deputy Speaker, in the early hours of Friday sent two text messages to Cubana Chief Priest.
The messages were however deleted by the lawmaker as seen in a post shared on the socialite’s Instagram handle.
Reacting to the development, Cubana Chief Priest slammed the lawmaker after initially being scared over the deleted messages.
He claimed he would have done better over Kanu’s case if he had been Deputy Speaker.
“Woke Up to see that the Deputy Speaker wrote me by 7:08am & then deleted it.
“I’m worried, I’m scared, I’m shivering. Yet I’m fearless because I know my name Is Chibuike!!!
“Sir if you come for me, God will embarrass you. Just face your work & do it well.
“If I was to be Deputy Speaker, I will do better than you.
“I relocated to Lagos because of MNK Detention. Till tomorrow, my son Donald keep saying I miss Owerri & he is so excited we are going next month.
“I Built a country home in my village since six years ago.
“I was just able to visit there two weeks ago to meet my people in poverty after five years because of the detention of MNK.
“Businesses in Southeast crashed and that’s where I have my major investments & peace of mind.
“I’m wounded already I’m in pain. E no get wetin you wan do me wey go pass the pain inflicted already.” Cubana Chief Priest said.
The socialite further held that he would his position as a Deputy Speaker to fix and unite the southeast.
While lauding Kalu’s promotion of the Igbo culture with his dressing, he however charged the Deputy Speaker to promote the southeast with good governance and leadership.
“I miss home. If I was in your position, I will fix Southeast. I will unite governors. I will summon ministers.
“I will assemble the whole elites & I will secure peace for our SouthEast.
“That same way wey you dey take dress well on our Igbo attire, dress our Southeast well like that.
“That same way wey you dey take package your Convoy, Package Our Southeast Well Like That.
“You are a very smart, stylish, young & clean guy. Please apply that to your governance.
“Remove your eye from party politics & save southeast.” He added.
Cubana Chief Priest pledged to support Kalu for governorship if he can use his current influence to transform and bring peace to the southeast by ensuring Nnamdi Kanu’s freedom.
“Use your position to bring peace to southeast we go use our hand make you Governor.
“The only way is to let MNK come home to fix what he spoilt by himself.” He said.
Cubana Chief Priest finally apologised to Kalu.
“I love you. No vex for me Baba. I dey vex I wan go my village go do my own Detty December.
“Lagos wey dey dry for Dec. before, na him dey bubble now For December.
“Dem no born us for Lagos. We have a home. What is Southeast Development Commission when we can’t go home?
“No fight me oh!!! I be your boy. I love you & you know that.
“It’s just a wakeup call Sir. No be insult because no be you get Nigeria.
“Na we put you there so we suppose dey ginger you. To whom much is given, much is expected.” Cubana Chief Priest added.
