The British Airways has said it has not suspended its operations from Nigeria.
Its statement on Friday came on the heels of reports that the airline with the longest years of operations in Nigeria had suspended its flights to the country in the wake of the inability of foreign airlines to repatriate their funds trapped in the country to their owner countries.
Recall that Emirates Airlines had suspended its operations due to the Dollar scarcity challenge.
The news of British Airways’ suspension of flights had gone viral with many raising concerns over the impact on businesses, education and other sectors.
“Our flights continue to operate as scheduled. British Airways remains fully committed to serving the Nigerian market. We have been impacted like many other airlines.”
