Members of the Ijaw Youths Council on Thursday staged a protest at the gate of the Dowen College, Lekki, to reject the autopsy report that says that the 12-year old Sylvester Oromoni, was not murdered.
The student died in November and his case has generated massive interest nationwide prompting the closure of the college and institution of an autopsy.
The Lagos State Ministry of Justice had exonerated the five students arrested and detained in connection with the death of the student.
The Director of Public Prosecution of the state had said that the report of the autopsy did not suggest that the student was tortured to death or given any substance to drink leading to his death.
The School had earlier claimed that Sylvester sustained injuries while playing football in the school which led to his death after he was taken out of the school for treatment by his parents.
But the Ijaw Youths Council which staged the protests on Thursday said the report was unacceptable, adding that there is a case of miscarriage of justice.
Sylvester’s father is an Ijaw man from Delta State.
