The Presidency has announced the time for President Bola Tinubu’s annual National broadcast in commemoration of Nigeria’s 65 Independence anniversary.
As contained in a statement issued on Tuesday by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu will deliver his Independence Day message in a live broadcast by 7am on Wednesday.
The Presidency urged all media outlets to join the National Television Authority (NTA) and the and the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) for the broadcast.
The statement read; “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will broadcast to the nation on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at 7 a.m., in commemoration of Nigeria’s 65th Independence anniversary.
“All television, radio stations, and other electronic media outlets are urged to join the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority and the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria for the broadcast.”
With the broadcast set to be made at the Presidential Villa, Tinubu had returned to Abuja after the conclusion of his one-day working visit to Imo State.
NPO Reported that the President had earlier today arrived at Owerri, the state’s capital, for book launch of the state governor, Hope Uzodinma.
In his address at the event, he reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to reviving Nigeria’s economy.
Tinubu urged Nigerians to believe in the administration’s course towards revitalising the nation’s economy.
The President would also inaugurate a road project constructed by the governor before his return to Abuja.
