The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has denied announcing resumption date for the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) and the replacement of lost Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).
As against reports that the exercise will resume of the 27th of May, the electoral body debunked the reports, noting that the resumption date is yet to be set
The clarification was made by Mr Rotimi Oyekanmi, the Chief Press Secretary to the INEC Chairman, in a statement issued on Tuesday in Abuja and made available on the Commission’s X.handle.
Oyekanmi stated that the report is untrue, emphasising that the commission had not yet set a resumption date for the CVR.
He urged the public to disregard the false information.
