A Joint Admission Matriculation Board’s (JAMB) candidate has on Saturday left the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) supervisors bewildered as she refused to attempt any question in compliance with her grandfather’s instruction to wait for miraculous intervention.
This was disclosed in a statement issued by JAMB’s Public Communications Advisor, Fabian Benjamin.
While dismissing claims of the Board posting candidates to centres outside their selected towns, Fabian recounted the incident which he described as another dimension of gullibility.
“On a lighter note, another dimension of gullibility was exhibited by a female UTME candidate who refused to attempt any question when she sat for the examination this morning because she was complying with the instruction of her grandfather to do nothing at the examination but wait for miraculous intervention.” He wrote.
The JAMB spokesperson dismissed possiblity of such occurrence as he urged candidate against believing in such superstition.
“Of course such miracles do not happen with JAMB.
“Candidates are advised against superstitious and baseless dream of reaping where they did not sow.” He added.
