Dissolves Bauchi, Oyo, Ondo, Ekiti, Zamfara States Executives

The Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) faction led by the expelled National Secretary, Samuel Anyanwu, has announced the expulsion of Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, and his Bauchi State counterpart, Bala Mohammed.
Anyanwu announced the expulsion of the governors at the party’s national headquarters on Tuesday.
The factional National Secretary made the announcement at the faction’s National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting held after the arrival of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike.
Also expelled alongside Mohammed and Makinde are 15 leaders of the party including the party’s chieftain, Bode George; Board of Trustees (BoT) Chairman, Adolphus Wabara; Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal; and former Akwa-Ibom State Governor, Udom Emmanuel.
Others include the newly elected National Chairman, Kabiru Turaki; Taofeek Arapaja, Ben Obi, Okechukwu Daniel, Emmanuel Ogidi, and Umar Sadiq amongst others.
The PDP NEC also announced the dissolution of the Bauchi, Ebonyi, Oyo, Ondo, Zamfara, and Ekiti state executives while approving the conducted congresses in Enugu, Ebonyi, Anambra, Delta, Bayelsa, and Taraba states.
While maintaining that the decisions were aimed strengthening the party, Anyanwu held that PDP will not bow to lawlessness and personal ambition.
“These decisions are aimed at stabilising and strengthening the PDP. The NEC affirms that the era of indiscipline is over.
“The PDP will not bow to lawlessness or personal ambition.
“The PDP will rebuild stronger and restore public confidence ahead of the next electoral cycle.” He said.
