A suspected brake failure by a truck has left many feared dead with several other fatally injured as it rammed into bystanders and several vehicles in Ibadan, Oyo State’s capital.
The incident reportedly occurred on Tuesday afternoon along the Beere- Oja Oba axis of Ibadan/
Videos shared on X by an eyewitness showed residents, who had stormed the scene of the incident, calling for emergency responders.
The gravity of the accident appeared to be extreme as some of the eyewitnesses held their hands on their head with some shuddering in panic.
One of the victims, whose legs appeared to have be severed by the truck, could be seen in the clip being assisted by other bystanders.
