The Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) has suspended its nationwide strike action with the doctors set to resume back to work on Wednesday.
This is coming barely a week after the association declared an indefinite strike action .
The strike action was slated to commence today.
NARD had in a statement issued last week Saturday cited what it described as the Federal Government’s plan to halt the implementation of the revised Professional Allowance Table, a key component of agreements reached after its 2025 industrial action, as reason behind the strike action.
However, the strike would be called off barely 24 hours after its commencement.
