Nigerian-born Mixed Martial Art (MMA) fighter, Kamaru Usman, has apologised to former World Heavyweight boxing champion, Anthony Joshua, and netizens over the leaked FaceTime Video Chat he had with the Nigerian British boxer shortly after surviving a tragic accident along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
NPO Reported that Usman’s video chat with Joshua who was on a hospital bed had on Thursday surfaced online.
The video recorded on the 29th of Decemeber shortly after Joshua arrived in hospital showed the strapped and bandaged boxer recounting his ordeal in the incident which killed two of his friends.
While the video chat had captured both athletes engaging in a mutual conversation about the accident, some netizens had slammed Usman for the leak of the video.
They accused the MMA fighter of being insensitive and also infringing on Joshua’s privacy after uploading the video.
Reacting in a post shared on his X handle, Usman apologised over the leaked video as he took responsbility for the post.
He admitted not properly watching the video before it was uploaded as his mind was in preparation for the The AKO show.
