Katsina State Governor, Dikko Radda, was on Sunday rushed to the hospital after an accident on the Daura-Katsina Road.
This was disclosed in a statement issued yesterday by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ibrahim Mohammed.
According to the statement, the incident occurred on Sunday evening as the governor was performing his official responsibilities.
Ibrahim disclosed that the governor is in stable condition with no serious injuries sustain.
The statement reads; “Katsina State Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda was involved in a minor road accident this evening along the Daura – Katsina Road, while carrying out his official duties in service to the people of Katsina State.
“We are pleased to confirm that the Governor is in good health and stable condition, with no serious injuries sustained.
“Governor Radda remains in high spirits and expresses his gratitude to Almighty Allah for His protection, as well as Katsina citizens and well-wishers for their prayers and concern.”
However, a separate post on X indicated that the governor sustained a fracture and is currently receiving treatment at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) in Daura, the hometown of late former President Muhammadu Buhari.
He was reportedly returning back to Katsina from Daura, where he had been receiving condolence visit over the passing of the ex-President, when the incident occured.
