The United Kingdom Conservative Party leader, Kemi Badenoch, has sent a get-well message to Nigerian-born British boxer, Anthony Joshua, following his involvement in a fatal lone accident along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
NPO Reported that the former World Heavyweight Boxing Champion, had narrowly escaped death with minor injuries in the car crash which killed his coach. Sina Ghami, and his personal trainer, Kevin Ayodele, on Monday.
Preliminary investigation by the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) revealed that the Lexus Jeep conveying the boxer and four others had veered off the road and rammed into a stationary truck while attempting to overtake another vehicle at top speed.
Reacting to the development in a post on her Instagram handle yesterday, Badenoch wished Joshua quick recovery.
The Nigerian-born UK politician extended her prayers and best wishes to him and the families of others affected by the crash.
“Wishing strength, healing, and peace to the remarkable Anthony Joshua after today’s tragic incident.
My thoughts, prayers and best wishes are with you and yours and all those families affected.” Badenoch.
Joshua had since been stabilised in a hospital following the incident which had attracted several other well-wishers, including President Bola Tinubu.
NPO Reported that Tinubu had yesterday called the boxer and his mother while condoling him over the loss of his associates.
